Definition: Project Portfolio Management is the process of analyzing, prioritizing, planning, managing and executing projects that are part of a project portfolio or program.
Via PPM managers obtain a view into their organization's investments, initiatives and resources to allow decision making, prioritize investments in projects based on various criteria such as benefits, timeframe, cost and risk.
