Finfluencer

Definition: a Finfluencer is a person who uses social media platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram to offer advice on stock investing, personal finance, cryptocurrency and savings strategies. In order to capture the attention of their consumers, they make use of storytelling, conversational language, and accessible content that resonates with their viewers.
Finfluencers are different from investment advisors who must register and comply with rules and regulations from authorities. Hence their advice can pose risks and threats to a company and its shareholders.
